FEORM FALORX
16 October 2022

—Release: 11 November 2022 (Warp Records)

I was just thinking that I am grateful to be able and allowed to listen to great music. And instilling that thought is already a reason for me to love Plaid´s new album. Apart from that the record is oscillating between Super Mario Kart and the other end of the musical spectrum. Wherever that might be, but I guess you get the point. Great stuff.
You´ll find the first single here.

BEING FUNNY IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
30 September 2022

—Release: 14 October 2022 (Dirty Hit)

The 1975 made this, and it is great. And that is all there is.

THE BOW MAKER
13 September 2022

—Release: 30 September 2022 (Jazzland / Edel)

This is so beautifully weird… (in lack of a better word). It´s more like watching a movie, not just listening to a record. Dai Fujikura and Jan Bang are the guys behind it. When I have the time one day I will listen to this on a really good system in a really nice place and wait for some gaps in spacetime to pop open.

MIDNIGHT SCORCHERS
6 September 2022

—Release: 16 September 2022 (On-U Sound / Rough Trade)

I didn´t listen to Dub in ages, so I am happy that I got serviced Horace Andy’s new album. Really nice, pretty eclectic. It feels like a bewildered walk through quotes of half a century of popular music. The Guardian calls this “a late-career masterpiece”, and I guess that´s true. Beautiful.

SUPERCARRY
4 March 2022

—Release: 25 March 2022 (Tambourhinoceros, distributed by Rough Trade)

This is the debut album of Swedish artist Lucky Lo, who is based in Copenhagen. A good word to describe might be “intriguing”. Even if you don´t like it, this is what it is. Some songs from the album have already been released through the artist´s playlist on Spotify.

SMALL WORLD
2 February 2022

—Release: 18 February 2022 (Because Music, distributed by Virgin Music)

New album from Metronomy. It´s as short as a Bad Religion record, and just as good. If you´re not afraid of pop, this is for you. I like it.
